PREVIEW
Bayern Munich have a chance to clinch the Bundesliga title with a win on Tuesday against Werder Bremen. The last few games were not the most convincing wins for the club but were wins nonetheless. Following the dub against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, Hansi Flick made it clear that he wants to secure the title with a win against Werder Bremen, so it makes sense to assume he will be sporting a relatively strong side.
The German champions are currently on a 11 game win streak since the 16th of February 2020, whereas Werder Bremen have had an up and down season. Eventhough Werder did win their previous game against last placed Paderborn in a convincing 5-1 drubbing, it's hard to see something like that against a team like Bayern Munich. We can expect a win for the German champions but don't expect it to be the easiest. In the game against Gladbach, Bayern Munich's defense seemed dull at moments leaving them exposed at times. The game looked like it was going to end in a draw if it wasn't for an 86th minute strike from Leon Goretzka, who was on the end of a cross from Benjamin Pavard.
PREDICTIONS
I believe Flick will choose the same starting eleven that he chose for most of the games this season. With Lewandowski and Müller available again following their suspensions for last game, you'd be stretching it to expect anyone else starting instead of the pair.
Apart from them, we can expect Kingsley Coman and the Bayern Munich roadrunner Alphonso Davies to come back to the starting lineup. Apart from this, I doubt Flick would change much from the side that started in the win against Gladbach.
Apart from this, I needed to give some predictions on how the match would go, and what better way to predict a game than to simulate a classic game of FIFA? (*sigh*)
And that's how we have my three bold predictions along with what I think the final score of the game would be.
My Predictions:
1. Bayern will secure the title on Tuesday.
2. Manuel Neuer will keep a clean sheet this game.
3. Leon Goretzka will continue his scoring run.
2. Manuel Neuer will keep a clean sheet this game.
3. Leon Goretzka will continue his scoring run.
Final Score? I predict a 3-0 win for Die Roten.
