PREVIEW
Now crowned Bundesliga champions for the 8th season in a row, Bayern Munich face 8th placed SC Freiburg on Saturday, and this looks like it's going to be another great game between the two sides. The last time these two teams met was back on Matchday 16 where Bayern left it late thanks to goals by super-sub Joshua Zirkzee and Serge Gnabry. If anything the game on Saturday looks like it will follow suit and be as nail bitingly close as the last one. But with the title secured, Bayern Munich don't have to put the pressure on and necessarily outplay their opponents, but we just know they will. However, Freiburg see themselves at 8th place at the moment, one point behind both Hoffenheim and Wolfsburg. A win on Saturday could push Freiburg into European competitions for the next season, added incentive for the team to chase a win against the record champions.
PREDICTIONS
One thing we know for sure is that the 2019-20 Bundesliga Rookie of the Month, Alphonso Davies, won't be playing because of a questionable red card towards the end of the game against Wolfsburg. Apart from the Canadian wonderkid; Thiago Alcantara, Corentin Tolisso, Philippe Coutinho and Niklas Süle seem to be out of the starting lineup almost guaranteed.
We can expect to see a similar lineup compared to the team that started against Wolfsburg, with Lucas Hernandez coming in for Davies and Ivan Perišić coming in for Coman.
As for my predictions on how the match would go, here we go:
1. Manuel Neuer will put in a good performance but won't keep a clean sheet.
2. Thomas Müller will add yet another assist to his name this season.
3. Serge Gnabry will find his way onto the scoresheet.
And my prediction for the match score is tough 3-1 win to Bayern Munich
Going off my predictions for the last game, I'm 2/3 right now. What is your prediction for the score?
